Oh Snap the movies of 2013!

So you all know I'm a big "nerd" some might even say "geek". I love my comic book movies and sci-fi movies! So when the new "Star Trek Into Darkness" trailer came out I was so excited!! I was even to the point of making sure this was one of the few films I made sure I got off my lazy butt and will go to see, no playing WOW or MWO!!

It seems the movie studios have had a thing that they call good timing because I have two, that's right two more movies to drool at while making time fly at work! "After Earth" with Will Smith and son  Jaden Smith take on a earth that let's just say doesn't much like humans anymore, I think this might be another good example of how if your genes are good you can work together? I know I'm shoveling pretty deep here but this look on par with their other movie, "The pursuit of Happiness"

I'm also checking out this "Man of Steel" thing that looks like a Superman movie, yeah I know what it is, but it's a different way of telling this story I'm just jumping out of my blue and red tights to see this. Note: I have never worn these to work and will not so don't ask! On a happier note I think I can be sure this is a Superman that will be looked upon for many many days to come.

Oh Snap Star Trek 2 Spolier alert!

So As every one else is, I'm waiting for J.J. Abrams next take on the Star Trek Movies. I have not been looking for inside info but it is hard to not see this spoilier as almont ever moive site has leaked the info out! I mean "Screen Rant", "Collider", "The Movie blog" , and "ComicBookMovie" I seem to think these rumors have some merrit. So Spolier Alert RED!

KAHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! He's back and Benedict Cumberbatch my favorite Sherlock Holmes is playing him I'm excited! Also Leonard Nimoy is back so this this will be a good movie!

That's it for now!

Oh Snap Ready Player One by Ernest Cline!

Ok I know I don't get to just write a blog post like i used to do. In fact my pod cast is now my weekly stream of thought, but today I have my youngest son at home and I find myself with some time to write. between diaper changes and naps I will tell you all about a book I read though www.audible.com called "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline. First break, man what did I feed that kid, ok back to "Ready Player One" This is were I gloat about being born in 74, loving the 80's as a child and finding the first sci-fi book that made me feel like, the holding on I've done to that era, the trying to find that childhood spark, well in a few words is ok!!

Mr. Cline paints two futrue worlds, one of depair and the other the virtual world of OASIS. In OASIS you can be whoever you want, and look however you want. This is the parrell drawn from today's internet and mmo games, which I've played a few. ( WOW, STO, WOT) The Delevolper, James Halliday, a 8o's geek/Fan and one of the richest man on the planet,  dies and revels he has left an "easter egg" in the game which will give the finder all of his riches, which is great because OASIS has become a global engine for replacing common wealth. So if you have credits in the game  you can transfer them to the real world and get paid!! Parzival is the first to get to the frist of three keys that open three gates.  After that his world is not the same, but you need to read the book to find out more.

I really recommend this read either by audio book or papperback, especially if your like me and love Godzilla, War Games, Big Trouble in Little China, A Clockwork Orange, Ghostbusters,Pac-man, Tempest, Zork.

I think you get what I'm saying, also it's being written into a movie.

I love this book!

Get it here @ www.audible.com or here www.amazon.com

Oh Snap Wasington ,DC you are going to be sooooooo happy!

Oh Snap Star Wars to be released In 3-D

I love Star Wars like any other nerd. I'd like to see all the Movies in blu-ray. I'd like to have a 24ct. gold limited edtion Darth Vader lightsaber. I'm just not sure I'd be ok with the movies in 3-D. Unless "Joruney to the Center of the Earth" made tons of money, I don't think this is a good Idea. I know George will find a way'anyway to get his money back but, didn't he see "Jaws 3-D" The only time I've seen 3-D work, and work good was at Disney and they make magic happen!!

So until I can have that good of 3-D at home just get my movies on blu-ray, Kill Jar-Jar, and put bigger breasts on Padame!!
